It's gone quiet on the forum, a few familiar faces are missing. 2 x 6-hour periods between postings on a Wednesday.

Plus I've been nearly a week without an order - unheard of mid-season.

What's happening in football land?

Presumably taken after the Charity Shield match, Villa v Spurs, 1982. A 2-2 draw saw the Shield shared.

Come on - wake up! Shocked

Perhaps everybody has gone into hiding in case David Moyes gives them a slap? Laughing

Should I be concerned that it's gone sleepy on the forum only a week after I joined? Have I sent everyone to sleep?!

It was always lively when trouble99 & biffa were on.

invite them back? They could be asked to offer some free valuations as a penance.

Laughing Laughing

Gollum's 'apology' was even funnier, especially when he called her "the girl" whilst trying to be humble.

Stop digging Dave for goodness sake!
When you're in a hole mate, etc etc.

The former would have told you what a pile 'o' shite you were collecting Woody, and probably called you a Bedroom Bandit, whilst the latter didn't take kindly to random folk popping up hoping to tap into the forum's collective expertise.

Very Happy

Oh, well, that doesn't sound very friendly!

Why on earth would someone object to people hoping to get info? So far, everyone's been friendly and have helped me with my queries, but if there's ever a question posted that I can help with, then I'd only be happy to help. Isn't that point of a forum such as this?

Exactly, it's a pleasure to share and pool our knowledge mate, and if it helps somebody else along the way then all the better.

It's a pity the two in question were so rude to folk, because they could also be funny and entertaining at times.

It has been a better atmosphere on here since their departure though, there can be no question about that.

It's a proper array of like-minded souls nowadays.

It is interesting that the most posts we have had recently have been on a thread titled "sleepy forum".

Smile

I'm an Evertonian Foxes. Our season ended back in January when your team put us out of the cup.Come to think of it , watching Everton at times could easily put you to sleep! Hope your lads go on to win the Champions' League. Here's a double for you. Don't bother with the Grand National. Leicester to win the Champions' League 33/1 and Leicestershire County Championship Div 2 18/1.That double would pay for a few holidays!
