Is this badge genuine?

Know very little about football badges, recently bought this as it was claimed it was pre war
Anyone seen anything like this or can confirm whether it is old or not?

The biggest clue to the age is the "three paneled ball" which really didnt take hold until the 50's . the paint lookslike a modern addition .... most probably european late 50's (maybe 6o's) in origin.

I would agree with Footiebadgebloke's guestimate too Holtie.

The 'shorter' style shorts would suggest it was late 50s / early 60s too mate.

Any earlier and the player would have been depicted wearing the longer "knickers" type shorts.

Incredibly difficult to say really, as a lot of these European type pins have very little value.
Could go for peanuts, or surprise you and go for north of twenty quid.
Footiebadgebloke would have a better idea than me.

If it were mine, and if the shirt is indeed royal blue as the pic suggests mate, I'd list it as Everton / Rangers / Linfield / Cardiff etc in the hope of enticing two or more their serious badge collectors.
They seem to have quite a few.

If it were orange & black I'd be all over it like a rash!
