I ordered a 1992 Champions League final programme online the other day from a dealer for what appeared to be a good price of £15.The programme was described as the 1992 CL Final. No other description.
The programme arrived and it is in very good condition but is a foreign language edition.(Spanish)
I doubt the Wembley programme would have been printed in Spanish,in fact i am almost certain because I went to the match and bought one at the time.

I wouldn't have paid almost £18 inc pp for this edition if it had been described as so and feel a bit ripped off.

Should I be or am I at fault?

I would feel somewhat annoyed as a dealer really would/should have known what the official programme for the game was. Especially being at Wembley.

Alternatively, have you got yourself a relative bargain?? Not really my area but you never know....

I may be wrong but he doesn't mention ebay does he? All I can say is what I would do as a dealer myself.

Any reputable dealer would accept it back but you might have to cover the postage. In legal terms you got what you bought but it's not a good experiance is it finding out the dealer does not know what they are selling.

I give a no quibble return policy, although if the customer just changes their mind I might ask for the postage (well it's so expensive now) and I think that's fair. I can honeslty say I've never has anything returned from my site in over ten years due to that policy of fairness.

If I were you I would contact the dealer, tell him how you feel. I wouldn't be too concerned if he refused to do anything but I would make a point about not using them again if they did.

I would email him if not happy as he may genuinely have not noticed. If the cover is the normal Wembley issue but the insides are Spanish and he bought as a job lot he may not have checked it, other for just general condition. However looking at www.footballprogrammes.com they have the UK edition @ 40.00 and the Italian edition @ 15.00. Not got the Spanish one listed so you could assume it may be rare and you could have a bargain.

The Spanish and Italian issues sell for roughly the same.

The 1992 CL Final programme was issued in three languages, English, Italian and Spanish, all with the same cover. Prices fluctuate but the last time I looked the Spanish and Italian ones were selling for more than the English version. £30+ I think I saw one or two go for. I would keep it if I were you.
