Just got my first.

Just wish the guy that left it had contacted me first to try and sort out any issue. But no, straight in with the neutral.

Should be a prerequisite for buyers that are not happy with their ebay item that they should at least have contacted the seller first before leaving a neutral or negative.

Two NEGATIVE FEEDBACK comments in 0ver 1000 transactions. The first a £1.99 record by the Prodigy, which was unplayed as it was new. This was described to be in a picture sleeve, that did not correspond with the record. I told the buyer in writing I was away for a month in the Highlands of Scotland but was confident the record would be well received. guess what? The record is wrong, the sleeve is incorrect and I was everything under the sun because I had not replied to his frantic complaints and a demand for a refund. On my return I asked him f he had looked at the record. he admitted he had not even bothered to remove it from the sleeve and then sheepishly apologised and said all was well, retracting his negative feedback. The other case was just before Christmas which I highlighted earlier. Now I do not leave any feedback as a seller until I have received feedback at least you can put your point of view. The last negative saw me on the phone to the Phillipines for the best part of half an hour and then a further call. The other side of ebay.

I sold an England 50's for 99p, went to P.O got it weighed, they put a 1st class stamp on it, the buyer told me he never got it, I refunded and sent him a free similar item as a goodwill gesture. he got a card from P.O for the original sale for insufficient postage, then worked out a fantasy in his head about me chancing my luck with a stamp, called me a cheapskate, accused me of sending a freebie to escape bad feedback, I did see red and told him what I thought of him, he reported me, then sent numerous messages acting like a stalker, then gave me bad feedback.
I got my own back, I pretended me and my buddies were going to a programme fair in his area, he shat himself and paid for the programmes I sent him, I didn't want paid off him, that let him off the hook, I would rather he kept the guilt of acting like a pure diddy.

In the last two weeks, I have been embroiled in a battle with Ebay over a programme that I sold for the princely sum of £1.75 including postage. (Probably 50p profit after fees, post etc.)
The buyer contacted me to say he wanted to return as I had failed to mention a rusty staple. Whilst I do not believe my description was inaccurate as I always list any faults, I agreed to a full refund including his postage costs when I received it back. As much as anything, I wanted to see if I had missed this fault. I'm only human, so it's possible. Anyway, the buyer did not respond to that e-mail. Ten days (and two more emails) later, I still had no programme and no response. Ebay had emailed me to sort this matter out!! I went on the chat option and was advised I had done all that I could, don't worry about it. Yesterday Ebay advised me that as I had not dealt with this problem, I now had a strike registered against my account. I was furious and between then and now, have had three chats and fifteen emails with them. I have just had this ruling overturned as they now agree that I could do no more, but it has wasted hours of my time to keep my account at 100% when the buyer, in my opinion, has taken me and Ebay for mugs. Aaarrrggghhh!!!! Time for a coffee and a lie down!

I used to list 100s of programmes and other bits and bobs every week for a long time on Ebay, but due to the pettiness and sometimes irrational behaviour of a few buyers, I decided it just wasn't worth all the effort and work put in to creating accurate and attractive listings.

I haven't listed now for over 6 months.

Trouble is I still have lots of items to get rid off and may have to venture back into Ebay again sometime soon as when things went smoothly it certainly was a good way to sell and make a few £££.
