He says 'tongue in cheek' when the wa***rs at Sky can switch the Arsenal v Leicester City game from a 3 o'clock sat kick-off to 12 o'clock sunday kick-off with just 3 weeks notice and after both clubs have sold out of tickets weeks in advance. Glad I don't have a subscription to them. Still I suppose money talks these days. Anyway back to normal next season when we will be in the middle of the table (Hopefully) and we won't be threatening the big boys so Sky won't be interested in us.

Now then FoxesI, .........if you think that's bad, try League 1, we don't have much to look forward to down here, however one shining light in the distance for many of us this season was the prospect of a weekend in Southend over Easter, culminating in the Blades at Roots Hall on Easter Monday. Add to that many Blades were planning to take in Paul Heaton who has a gig there on sunday night.

So far, all fine and dandy, then along come Sky, and decide they will televise it.

So back it goes two days to the wednesday night. Brilliant. Thanks for that.

So to quote the title of this thread, 'I love being in the Middle of League 1'

It's a real bug bear of mine, how little the fans are considered these days. The Sky fixture changes at quite short notice are disgusting and I hope the Sheffield United fans raise loads of money for charity with their planned action, but in reality the long planned weekend is gone. It won't make a difference to Sky. Money talks and they have thrown bucket loads into the game putting them in the position to move games around at a whim. Surely something should be put in place so that games where tickets have already been sold cannot have their dates changed?

We tried Lge 1 a few years ago and we were due to play at Yeovil Tn on a Saturday and that was changed by Sky to a Monday night in February no problem that apart from the fact the pitch was frozen but because of the TV the game was deemed fit to be played. Oh the joys of being a football fan no matter who you support.

Our game at Swansea last week was moved from the Tuesday to the Wednesday night at about three weeks notice or something silly like that. Due to the distance involved, many Sunderland supporters had not only bought their travel tickets, but overnight accommodation for after the game too.

And to cap it all, we had to play again at 1245 on Saturday in London.

English football's flexibility when it comes to bending over for Sky is the main reason it's swimming in cold hard cash that's why the likes of Inler and Shaqiri are choosing to leave poor little clubs like Napoli and Inter for the glamour of Leicester and Stoke.

Friday night games in the PL to look forward to from next season too.

I think I read somewhere that by the end of February Leeds will have had 13 kick off days/times changed to 'accommodate' Sky this season alone!!

Ah the joys of being a mid-table (on a good day) Championship team...

I believe this is the case, the Middlesbrough game having now been moved at relatively short notice next month. Worse still the Brighton away game is now on a Monday night rather than the planned Saturday afternoon, very helpful for our travelling hoards, particularly with the large amount of away season ticket holders we have.

Watch any Leeds game live on TV and you will hear our fans singing their appreciation for Sky!

Although I agree with his reasons, I don't think your chairman helped recently by not allowing the cameras in for several hours. I feel Sky will now be thinking "Right, let's show him" and move your games whenever they can.

Apparently new Sky subscribers (only if you take the full package) are allowed to switch one League fixture as part of the welcome deal. This can be handy if your missus is nagging you to go to Ikea on a Saturday, you can shift a game to an evening kickoff in midweek, or, if you have an important darts match which clashes with a midweek game, by moving it a day or two either way will mean a win/win situation for all concerned.

Not just football mate: same problem being a rugby league fan. Helpfully, we've succeeding in restricted our potential opposition to clubs along the M62, which was always intentional on the part of the game's administrators of the past 120 years to help out fans, knowing this sorry situation would eventually arise.

However, as a Warrington fan, living in Leeds, the prospects of a weekend back 'home' for our traditional Sunday afternoon kick went up in smoke when we became half decent a few years back. And for those worried about Friday PL games, we have to put up with Thursday, which are used for the biggest game of the weekend. Really pleased that most of our big derby games now require finishing work early, sitting in M62 commuter traffic, rushing something to eat, then after the game traipsing back in the dark with the prospect of another day at work to come.

How the hell am I supposed to get my two little girls hooked into being Wire fans when I've got to contend with that??

Wow 13 times, the TV money doesn't seem to be fairly divided amongst Football League Clubs.

Blackpool, a recent Premier League and Championship club are yet to feature once this season but you can bet your life which game Sky will want to put on.

Fleetwood away at the end of April which could be a relegation decider.

Sensibly this game should ko at lunchtime so it will be interesting to see what Sky choose (if they actually bother at all) for this one.

Whilst I've every sympathy for fans screwed around by Sky, it's a bit like Newcastle fans moaning at Ashley but still turning up in their droves.

All that people like Mike Ashley - and corporations such as Sky - understand is revenue. Everything is expressed in terms of cash flow.

The only - only - way to even begin changing what you don't like is to hit them where it hurts.

A completely empty away end at the Emirates would be one way of expressing disdain.

Won't happen, of course, and Sky, Mike Ashley, the Glazers, the morons in charge at Leeds and Leyton Orient etc etc are all well aware of that fact.

So why moan and groan? Fight back and hit them where it hurts!

If any club takes a smaller allocation at an away game then all that happens is the home club gets those seats back to sell to their own fans. In the case of Arsenal, there are tons of foreign 'football tourists' queing up for the opportunity to see a game at the Emirates.

Only the likes of Villa would see the seats truly left unsold, and they have 10,000 empty in the home ends anyway so would hardly notice

I read in the local newspaper this evening that of Wolves first 38 league games of the season 17 have had the day/kick-off time moved - the last 8 fixtures are yet to be determined. If memory serves every Wolves game in December was moved from its original time.

Whilst I have sympathy for fans who have made arrangements , surely this is the price of success and if you're top you're going to be on TV more. I do hope your comment about mid table is tongue in check.
I can't believe for a moment , a single Leicester fan is moaning about the current situation. Genuine football fans everywhere , apart from the big guns will be cheering Leicester on. Be in no doubt, it won't last for ever .
