Thanks all for feedback and comments on a possible PCI. I'm working on a pilot which should cover at least five years history, based on a representative selection of pre- and post-war important programmes. It will be based on Arsenal only - as that it is the only data I currently have - but hopefully this should give a reasonable proxy for the general market. Additional clubs and data can be added in due course if any other collectors make it available. The first draft results should be available soon.

Oct 31 update:

The Oct-15 PCI is 58.55 (Base year 2009 = 100). This equates to a 12.5% fall on 2014 and an annualised fall of 5% p.a. over the last 5 years.

The data sets for previous years are incomplete but show broadly expected results.

Dec 31 update:

The Dec-15 PCI is 57.36.
• Slight fall on October’s figure of 58.55
• 14.3% fall on 2014
• Annualised fall of 5.3% p.a. over the last 5 years.

Data sets for pre-2009 are not based on complete data but are available on request.
