Watched it, John, on BBC Alba (with the Gaelic commentary muted!).

Good, sporting contest and a cracker of a goal from, err, I didn't catch his name.

Saw a Talbot fan on screen biting his programme as the match went into injury time - I take it that wasn''t you Smile

Dwayne Hislop the goalscorer, doubt there'll have been many better in the Finals? Got him the MOTM award albeit I thought their number 8 Luka Modruc looklaike was far and away the best player on the pitch. They played some really nice fitba in the first half but it was undoubtedly our big match mentality that won us the game. That's the last 5 Junior Cup Finals that we've won have all been by 2-1!

Barca won the European Cup / Champions League in 1992, 2006, 2009, 2011 and 2015 - as have Auchinleck with the Junior Cup! We are better though as we also won it in 2013. Am extremely lucky to have seen the club win 6 of these titles now. It's also now three Super League and Junior Cup doubles in 2006, 2013 and this year. No other Western Super League had managed one. Great days to be a 'Bot fan.

In there any desire to eventually join the Scottish League, John?

I see the rather artificial way Brora Rangers came within 90 minutes of that and I'm comparing that to the Talbot set-up.

Might be tempting to some to consider but I can't see why you would.

It was a good game. The Musselburgh No.8 Darren Smith had a great game, Jordan Sheerin also looked dangerous first half and scored an absolute cracker.

Musselburgh seemed to move him out wide second half and he didn't see much of the ball which was their downfall.

Hislop's goal was world class.

I'm told the winning penalty was very dodgy, it looked a pen to me in the main stand but I've not seen it on telly yet.

A nice afternoon out Easy

Was hoping for a Burgh win to complete a historic double for the town.

My son plays for Musselburgh RFC who won the league and are promoted to National League 1 ( one division below premiership). It was first time in 30 years they reached these dizzy heights.
I went to most of the home matches but have no clue to some of the rugger rules Confused
Anyway, well done John

The guy took a dive for the penalty but there was some contact although i'm not sure if the contact was from the attacker, the defender didn't complain too much either, i'm always willing the player to score when the keeper acts like a tosser, the goals were amazing, the better side won.
