Only a few years ago I thought I would try something new. Bored with paying silly money for a few items, I decided to go back to the basics. Build a collection of everything 1973 cup related. It would be fun picking up programmes/ tickets for pennies and building an unusual collection. Of course it didn't take long to complete the whole set of programmes. Thanks to a few forum members I completed the collection with a few hard to obtain programmes. Ticket stubs came along pretty quick although still plenty to look out for. I then reluctantly started to collect newspapers. Other items followed such as train tickets and the like. It's amazing how quick a collection can grow for items that are 42 years old.
And of course , as most on here will know only too well , I find myself getting deeper and deeper and now don't know when to draw the line. I say this as an original match ball (signed) has turned up . Now what started as a programme from every game has evolved into a mass of material including possibly a bloody muddy football Laughing Honestly it takes no time at all. Where do I stop ? I dread the day I have a couple of goalposts and a crossbar to hide from the wife.... Very Happy

A very nice collecting theme Wullie...how about getting hold of Ian Porterfield's right boot or Bob Stokoe's famous hat?
