personally I thought it was a good fair today - good location and a nice venue. I'm sure the snow didn't help the attendance, however trade was steady all morning and hopefully it becomes an annual event. Also good to meet JimLFC there.

Would be interesting to get feedback off anybody else who was there - buyer or seller?

I think Paul Bailey and Andy Bowler deserve a lot of credit for organising so many fairs in the North-west and Midlands, especially for taking the risk in starting up new venues in the last 18 months, such as Nottingham, Derby and now Haydock.
I agree with blackburncollector - it was an excellent venue, despite being a Conservative club, (probably big enough to accommodate 20 dealers), spacious, modern, well-lit, easy to find (opposite Tescos) and with plenty of car parking.
Although trade started a bit slowly, it picked up as the morning progressed and eventually surpassed my most optimistic expectations.
I hope Paul and Andy will be encouraged by the response to this initial event and have another go at Haydock next season.
Judging by the comments of collectors present, many also intend attending the Fairs next month at Accrington Stanley FC on Sunday March 8 and at Salmesbury Memorial Hall (near Preston) on Sunday March 29, which was encouraging to hear.

Was also good to meet you Andy, may see you again at Anfield in a couple of weeks. Wave Wave

Good to meet Terry too with all his badges and Dons T shirt. Wave Wave

The Fair itself I thought had a good mix of stalls in a really good venue, thanks again to the organisers. Thumbs Up Thumbs Up
