Fantastic day at Accrington Stanley today, and a very, very, healthy attendance of just over 70, testament to the advertising done locally by Nick Westwell of the Stanley Supporters Club, and the online stuff we both did.

It's what I term a sustainable fair because of the low stall rentals and easy access to the stallholders concerned (bar Gordon and myself!) and as it proved in Auchinleck to be a succesful formula so it has in Accrington, so much so that there will be another on in September once the 2015-16 fixtures are out, with the same stallholders.

Everybody had a good "take" and it was so busy for the first 90 minutes that it was difficult to believe where we were actually holding the fair. Gordon said it was busier than he'd experienced at the London Fair so praise indeed, and it's so good to see someone as hardworking as Gordon having a good day as it must make the drive back to Devon that much easier.

Have been asked if we might be able to do something similar at St Lukes at Goodison. Watch this space.

Your stall has changed from when I was the next stall holder along at some of the Fairs we attended?

That's because it's all items donated by fans, not my stuff - which I don't have any more anyway.

Well done to all involved.

Nice to hear some positives, rather than far too common negatives.

I would like to add my congratulations to John Holroyd and Nick Westwell on a well-organised and well-attended fair.
Especially, also, my thanks to everyone associated with Accrington Stanley for their very friendly welcome - nothing was too much trouble for them.
I believe Stanley's Supporters Club cleared several hundred pounds as a result of the event, probably the most important result.
I look forward to the next one in September - and suggest that perhaps a couple of extra stalls could be accommodated in a central island.
