1947 Bolton V Charlton

One programme on my wants list is
19-2-1947 Bolton v Charlton
I was recently informed that NO programme was issued as there was a printers strike in the north west, which also affected some other clubs in the north west
Can anybody confirm this, or shed any light on the matter!

There was a fuel crisis around this time due to the very harsh winter which had a knock on effect for industry including printers.

There were 3 Blackpool matches where programmes were not issued

15/2/47 v PNE at home
22/2/47 v Man U away
1/3/47 v Bolton at home

There's plenty of info on the internet about the harsh winter of 1946/7 which resulted in fuel shortages including this piece on wiki.

Thanks for that info, noting your dates of Blackpool non issues that could also mean 22-2-1947 Bolton V Eveton was also a non issue, unless anyone know,s otherwise

I think it is more than likely that Bolton v Everton was also a non-issue but there are Bolton collectors on here who will probably know for certain.
