Third party games @ Hillsborough

I've taken to saving the more unusual games played at Hillsborough during the 50's and 60's.

In this I include all the games the Owls have played against European opposition, testimonials etc.

What I'm needing help with are details of any third party game splayed at Hilsborough during that period.

Obviously there are FA Cup semi's, and I know of cup replay's between Arsenal/Rotherham and Scunthorpe/Stoke.

I know there have been Inter city games, schoolboys etc , but I don't have a full listing of them. If you know of a game played during that period would you contribute to the thread please.

Cardiff played Man City at your place sometime in an FA replay, i dont suppose you happen to have a spare do you?? It was a single sheet slimmer than A4 edition in blue and white?

Sorry Craig, don't have that one myself. A date for it would be useful.

The slimmer than A4 would lead me to think its 70's as opposed to 60's.....

Progs were issued for all the games although the Preston one in 1954 is very hard to get hold of.

Wed 11 Feb 1959 - Single sheet - FA Amateur Cup 2nd round, 2nd replay - Pegasus v Bishop Auckland and another single sheet for Sat 23 Jan 1960 FA Amateur Cup 2nd round - Hallam v Crook Town. Both were priced one penny!!!!!

1954-1955 - 14th February - Aston Villa 0-0 Doncaster Rovers - F.A Cup 4th Round 3rd Replay.

1958-1959 - 14th March - Aston Villa 0-1 Nottingham Forest - F.A Cup Semi-Final.

1976-1977 - 16th March - Aston Villa 1-1 Everton - League Cup Final Replay.
