OK here is your opportunity to rant about:

Examples:

Your teams inertia... on the pitch, in the transfer market, Player Power

Something that's bugging you in the wonderful world of football this season... (same old, same old..) - price of tickets!?

Who or what Rafa is complaining about again..

Man Utd are top again!

Champions League - you're having a laugh!

Portsmouth couldn't field 18 players today....

Celtic and Rangers are dominating the SPL again..

Ashley Cole

Beckham and Mrs. Beckham

Rooney's lovely fizzog...

Man City's transfer activity!

Newcastle Utd (oops wrong thread!)

Birmingham City stuck in the relegation zone...

That goal was miles offside..

Referee!!!!!!!!!!!!

... or whoever whatever..

First Rant - Jo signing for Everton!

I can't even put into words how I feel about this. If I did we would need to make sure no kids read my language!

Players wages how can they say they deserve to be paid that amount per week, how many times do you see them

take a free kick and hit the wall
take a corner and not clear the first defender
cross the ball, into row Z of the upper tier
Miss a half open goal
Miss a tackle
Bottle a tackle

Still think there should be a salary CAP brought in and very strictly ruled, if it means that a lot of foriegn players don;t come to these shores well tough basically they shouldn;t be so greedy.

I've heard players argue that their career is shorter than most, yeah ok, you get paid £100k a week that's £400k a month the average fan would need to work for 15 YEARS to make that amount of money, and some of those fans really have to slog it out to earn that as well. In ten months football players on £100k a week make £4million the avergae fan would need to work for 150 years to make that money, stop being a bunch of greedy b****** get a grip on reality your overpaid primadonas.

The above doesnit include that fact that players also have huge bonus or/and endorsement contracts they have which could easily double their wages.

Totally with you on that one James.

Oh and we can start to complain about our teams' performances here.. starting with Everton's already wafer thin squad (at the moment) taking their foot off the pedal at Bury last night and making more substitutions.. to lose 2-1 in a game they basically dominated.

If theres a rant thread, shouldnt there be a 'crowing' thread too. (Not that I'll spend much time on there this season). Cos I for 1 want to see all the abuse (light hearted of course) after the derby games.

No Ref baiting though, they do a good job.

If anyone wants to take a pop at the officials then go and watch an ice hockey game when a Blaine Evans is the ref (and i use the term ref very loosely here) and then come back and try to criticise a football ref.

Smile Thanks James re.defending Referees.I was a registered
Referee with the Cheshire FA for 12 years ,and talk about abuse ,threats of violence, snide remarks, from players ,and spectators, when I was doing the best I could .I wonder how many of the critics of the man in black ,or other shirt colours nowadays ,would have the bottle to take up the whistle, and referee a match ?I admit there have been some inept refereeing decisions last season ,as there always will be.You get a split second to make your decision, and no replays .I never really enjoyed it if I am being totally honest, but I thought it was the next best thing to playing ,which I also did for 25 years.I did also think I was contributing to the game. How many Sunday league games nowadays havent got a ref because of the shortage of people wanting to take it up?Its easy to see why.
My message to the most vociferous of referee critics is have a go ,and you will know what I mean .My top referee of recent times was Collina ,and in the UK despite what some people might think Graham Poll.

I'd like to rant already about the prices GTFC are charging for pre-season friendlies. On 20/7 and 21/7 we have back to back games against Leeds and Scunthorpe. The price is £10 for the visit of the "Mighty" Leeds and £14.00 for Scunny. Grimsby is as hard hit as anybody in this mega-recession and it wouldn't hurt for the club to recognise that two friendly games which are hardly BOTH likely to contain our best XI should be more reasonably priced............

I am disgusted by the attitude of the Wolves towards showing the championship trophy to the fans.
No parade of the trophy due to health and safety issues, even though any other club that win anything have one.
The club then fobbed the fans of by saying they would have an open day where you could get your photo took with the trophy.
That has happened this weekend, but to get your photo with the trophy it will cost you the princley sum of £10.
The cost of tickets has already rocketed, which was to be expected due to our promotion, and I dont have a huge problem with that, but this con has taken things too far.
This has got to be the biggest rip off of fans in the country.
At least Dick Turpin had the decency to wear a mask when he was robbing people.

When we won it in 2004, NCFC bought the trophy down to London so that the London supporters club could see it at their agm (I was the chairman of the club at the time) and they let us all be photographed with it for free as long as we did not lift it up, as its very old).
Clap
They do get some things right at Norwich, although I expect to be using this thread later in the season! Mad

I want to have a bit of a rant about ticket prices. Now I know we've stepped up a league this season, and prem prices are bound to be higher, but for Man U to be charging £41 for what will be a reserve game in the carling cup seems to be a bit over the top. Maybe thats a usual price there, and for a league game I might be convinced (grudgingly) for that to be a fair price, but not for a third round carling game.
I have also heard a few blues and villa fans complaining about the price for their derby game, which I believe has been put up at £48 wherever you are in the ground.
Dont clubs know that there's a recession on and people are struggling for cash?

I'd like to hear other peoples thoughts.

I don't doubt that clubs know about the recession but do they care? Not really. The further up tha ladder you go the more the jhonny come lately fans turn up. These people won't give a toss when your team goes down again but while they are there the prices go up as the club knows that if their real fans can't afford it the plastic prem ones will still fill the seats. As Wolves have been mentioned I will use them as the example. When they get relegated which sadly is bound to happen within a few years then the part time fans will just go to West Brom of whatever team replaces Wolves. in the meantime some real Wolves fans will have got out of the habbit of going and won't return. Slowly the poxy Premier league will kill of football in this country. One day the bubble will burst (asap as far as I am concerned) and once our teams can't pay the top money the forign players will go home and we may get back to real football agin. (Oh wait real fooball is alive a well in League 1 and below). Personally I wish the top 4 in England plus the Glasgoe 2 in Scotland would just sod of to a European league and leave the rest of us to get on with it

Rant over for now.
