eBay to charge sellers for ending auctions early

eBay are trying to stamp out the practice of sellers ending auctions early by charging the sellers a fee if they do it after bids have been placed. Good thing too.

I agree!

I've lost count of the amount of items ended early that are on my watch list waiting for my late bid!

The only thing is one of the clauses for 'no fees charged is: · Auctions ended early that have not received any bids

Perhaps I need to change my bidding pattern.................

I appreciate that not everyone ends early because they have had an offer outside of Ebay - but I suspect that many have. I have had offers myself for other items when I have sold a few bits - I never took them up and gained more from the end sale anyway!

I make a bid and go back later,I have no complaints if the seller removes the item without a bid being made,watching an item is an annoyance to a seller because it looks like a good chance of a sale and a lot of the time it doesn't happen.
