Dellboye, sorry to say it but we definately were unlucky not to get all 3 points tonight.

I'm still not sure whether our goal was disallowed because of Cech's rolling round like he had been shot or because the linesman said Pienaar was offside as I was too busy picking myself up off the floor two rows infront of me after I thought we had scored! Laughing

Terry's red card was deserved in my opinion. Not trying to rub anything in by saying that. His foot was just too high - but saying that I don't think there was any intent in the challenge.

Anelka looked poor to me tonight, he didn't get much service but didn't make anything himself either. Drogba was a real threat when he came on. Cech man of the match for Chelsea for 2-3 great saves.

Jagielka was amazing for Everton tonight, man of the match for me. He was consistent throughout and showed his class when Drogba was attacking in the Everton box and he ran full sprint and made an excellent tackle.

Pienaar was the only one of our team that didn't play well tonight. His passes went astray alot of times. Fellaini and Cahill done great in attacking, we just missed that 'strikers touch'.

All in all, personally I think you were lucky to get a point out of the game. Can't believe we have helped Liverpool out too!

If Everton can continue to play the way we played tonight I have no fears about us getting at least 6th and possibly challenging Villa for 5th.

You deserved to win the match after we lost the man. The thing that annoyed me was every time the ball wass knocked on to drogba a foul was given to you just because he is strong enough to muscle his way on to the ball. Terry's red card was correct but I cant see a difference between his tackle and the one at the fulham game which got a yellow. I think the referee wasnt very consistent but he never is.

I thought the referee wasn't too bad but like you said, he did get a few decisions wrong.

Before tonight's game, I would of probably accepted a defeat as you were on a tremendous run of form and if someone had said to me, your going to draw 0-0 I would of took that all day long. But now I kind of feel like we have dropped 2 points because we worked so hard and played so well.

But now on boxing day I hope you destroy West Brom and Liverpool draw at home to Bolton.

Ref was excellent - it's good to see a firm ref who takes no sh*t (btw did anyone think JT invaded his personal space (or was he called close to him). WRT the other incidents ... Ballack - correct.

Goal - probably correct technically as SP was active but you also argue

a) he didn't touch the ball but caused Ballack to panic (or was that Osman?)
b) the linesman took an age to agree with the ref and flag (I was right behind him.. ) you kind of know instantly there's been a disallowed goal as everything seems to freeze.

Still no complaints and a good open game which didn't have me watching the clock (after the first 10 mins or so anyway!)

These days a point against Man U or Chelsea is like three! (It's like 10 when it's against Liverpool tho!)

If you consider that the ref gave chelsea 3 yellows and a red and he gave everton 0 yellows and 0 red suggests that he was not consistent. Tim cahill should have got a yellow on his late sliding tackle on alex. SP was offside and he was in play.

From a neutral's point of view.

I thought the Terry sending off was the right decision. It was wreckless and studs showing, potentially very dangerous.

I also thought the ref / linesman were spot on for the "goal". I think the linesman was correct about the player that was off-side, he was in the thick of the action area and had to have been deemed to be 'active'. Either way, Cech had two hands on the ball before it was put over the line.

Yep i think roker is spot on, as was the ref.

Barrett bang on with his Jags comments too. Including a super block first half after a clever chelsea move (on joe cole?), in which the commentators never mentioned his name (everton players not fashionable enough for the media i`m afraid) . Of course Jags was brought up proper , over at...... er.... oh, that`s right, ... Sheffield United.

On that same decision though Alex maybe should have been booked for the stamp on Cahill after his sliding challenge!

Back on the terry subject- Did you see the man u stoke game. Rooney should have got a straight red for his elbow on faye but he got nothing. Ronaldo got nothing for his kick out at wilkinson(i think) which was a similar kick to the one he did a few weeks ago. At least terry was trying to make a proper tackle rather than a deliberate foul like rooney and ronaldo.

We have all said it for years. Man Utd players get away with murder. Especially the likes of Ronaldo and Rooney. That's twice in a month Rooney should have been sent off!
