An interesting project has been bubbling away in the north of England.

Celtic nation are currently in Northern Division One (level 9) founded in 2005 and attracting a Scottish millionaire as their director who has targeted Conference football within 5 years.

They have a management team of Mick Wardsworth and Davie Irons would were instrumental in Gretna's meteoric rise.

They have signed Colin McMenamin, Willie Gibson and Andy Aitken all on full-time contracts.

They look like an interesting prospect, how long will it be before they arrive in the football league?

A bit harsh, not every club that overspend (Hearts?) suceed.

The only reason that they failed was due to Brookson dying, who's to say that he couldn't build a sustainable club in the long term?

If you believe the story in the Guardian this week it's Glasgow Celtic behind all this in a rather convoluted attempt to enter the English pyramid.

Celtic Nation used to be known as Carlisle Gilford Park FC.

They do a nice programme, though. I've got the one from the home game v Darlington 1883 last season.

They will never survive on gates of 40 and once the owner gets bored.

I watch them occasionally when I'm not at a Carlisle game, although there is next to no interest from people in Carlisle...plenty it seems from Celtic fans though now they are in the press a little.
