Help - How to clean photo's

I've just received a Cigarette card from the 20's that has the same print and paper as a normal photograph.

It is in serious need of a clean.

Can anyone recommend any good solutions/ways of doing this?

What sort of dirt is on it? You'll have to be very careful as using water will cause it to curl and the surface to come away. Probably dabbing very carefully with a slightly damp kitchen towel is the best I can suggest, but it does depend on what has got onto it.

I've found that baby wipes/wet wipes are as good as anything.
They certainly work on glossy programmes and bring up old long player sleeves a treat .
