Lovely old stadium - one of the best I've ever visited - and an architectural gem, too.

Definitely better than what they moved to!

As snapped by me in 1980.

Feethams, Darlington, it is

Try this one - slightly trickier in that the grass slopes either side of the stand are no longer there - though I think the stand itself is.

Also from 1980.

PS - the ground isn't on a slope - I'd just had a few at lunchtime Smile

Not Workington, sorry, but an even better view in the one below, if you happened to live in the skyscraper overlooking this ground!

I'm sure you'll know the club

PS - this photo is a different club to the second one!!

I'd say those on the 32nd floor could still see most of the game if they chose to watch it, although the new East stand is a lot bigger than the old stand which was there, it used to belong to Scunthorpe United i believe. At the opposite side, the stand not shown which is still there to this day used to be one of the stands at Man City's old Hyde Road ground - most of the roof anyway,

Spotland, Rochdale - on a very, very wet Tuesday afternoon when their reserves played (I think) Bacup Borough.
Attendance was in the region of 35. No programme!
