But not anymore, anyone else getting p****d off with football matches being changed from the traditional Saturday afternoon. My club Leicester have had only 6 home games so far with a 3 o'clock Saturday kick-off and another only 2 left scheduled for kicking-off at that time. 8 in all. Isn't it about time football clubs stood up to sky and said enoughs enough we don't want your money but we all know it won't happen.

Guess how many Grantham have had to change this season NONE.
If a few more people started to ignore the Premiershite and anything else Sky control, then they might take notice, but whilst people are paying out £30-£60 a month on Sky TV, it will just get worse.

The armchair fan is killing football as we know it, Sky are just the enabler

We haven't had any changed.
I haven't watched any prem crap on tv either.
If no one watched it sky wouldn't show it.
Be great as half the Prem would go under in a few months without the sky millions.

Might get worse soon if BT's bid makes inroads into the current Sky oligopoly.
Then they'll both be wanting games rearranged.

Can't think why anyone with a decent internet connection would want to subscribe to Sky Sports - it's easy to see any game online for free.

I have the full Sky Sports package plus ESPN, but I attend over 60 games a year.

It's easy to make assumptions, but many people who enjoy watching live fitba on the telly actually go to games themselves. That's why kick-off times get moved.

It's frustrating, but English fitba let the genie out of the bottle in 1992 and there is no going back, they sold their soul for the £billions TV generates, it's Europe wide and will continue unabated.

Think yourself lucky, some games in Spain and Germany only have their dates/kick-off times confirmed 14 days in advance.

14 days is a nightmare - went to see Barca once and had to go from Friday to Monday to cover all date change/kick off possibilites

Want to book up a hotel for our trip to Blackburn in April, but just cannot do it yet, if anything is riding on it, you can bet Sky will move it, and don't want to lose the money. Will wait till about 3-4 weeks before.

My club's opening league game (Limerick FC) just got moved by 24 hours twice in the past 3 days from Friday to Saturday to Sunday.

Re hotel booking,
I always use booking.com and most hotels have a free cancellation option. I've hotels booked in Vienna, Salzburg, Klagenfurt and Innsbruk for our game in Austria next September.

Indeed, I always used Venere.com for England away trips as it was cancellable right up to the day before.

But in this country, I tend to mainly use Holiday Inn, Premier Inn or Travelodge. In all 3 cases they do offer a 'cancellable' option, but it is well above the very reasonable cheapest available price for the same room! Try to leave it late enough that Sky can't muck me about, but still early enough that the best room rates are still available.

I suppose if we get into the premiershite next season, we will have most of our games kicking off at 3 o'clock as no-one will want to see is getting thrashed every week. Just off to tonights game now.
