Every three weeks or so, this seller puts out four or five pre war Sunderland away programmes. A good strategy as it gives collectors time to save. His collection must have been absolutely stunning at one point with the amount of quality programmes he has listed. I now nothing about the seller or how he came across his amazing collection, which is unusual for me as i am normally a nosey so and so.
The problem i have, is i'm not really supposed to be buying at the moment, but i always try and buy one of his programmes when they turn up. With the market as it is, i can normally pick up at least one for a decent price. He has in the past listed Man.Utd ,Derby, Burnley and now Cardiff. Great stuff, i just wonder how long he will go on.

Was he the guy who put 3 different Derby v Sunderland pre-wars up at one go quite recently?
I only needed one of them but my bid was way short of what it eventually went for.

I recognise some of the Birmingham v Sunderland ones as the ones I once had .
They were purchased by an old boy from London at a London Fair in the 1990s, perhaps he has gone to a better place and this bloke does house clearances.

Dick Rattray did the same thing with a pre-war Palace homes collection a couple of years ago. Was able to buy one or two a month and really add a nice range of different season examples to my collection.

blinking heck , £161 for the 1920/21 Burnley programme with 5 days to go. I would have thought the Cardiff programmes rarer, but what do i know? Not really keen on the Birminham lot. I emailed the seller to ask about his collection, but no reply sad to say. It didn't surpise me really, Sunderland collectors are not the friendliest, or maybe as Bazza said, a house clearance.
