How do people become programme dealers, where do they get their big stock of programmes (Recent finals/England aways etc) from?

Do dealers put the rare stuff in their catalogues/web-sites or is it straight to e-bay?I think the later.

There are a couple of established dealers who sell all the latest England games and cup finals. I suppose they have their connections and a regular client base. After that, anyone can buy programmes from the 60s 70s 80s bulk for peanuts. But then you'd have to catalouge everything , store it, chase after money, post items, all for very little profit. Then there are specialist dealers who deal in rare and expensive programmes, normally in offers or ebay. For this, you would need to know the market inside out and be ready to take a big loss on some items.
So all in all, it is easy to set up as a dealer, but to make any money it must take an incredible amount of hard work, and luck.

Its hard work now, everyones a dealer, there is 5,000 + on Ebay and non of them pay tax Sherlock
