Not much here in Norwich, so does not look like I will be getting an "bonus" time off.

Mind you where I work we would have to get about 5 meters for them to let us go early!

Bleeding southern softies! I see it's headline news on the BBC now as it's snowed in London - never mind the Cockneys will all rally around, it'll be just like the blitz. Cor, luv a duck, we may have to go up the apples and pears, eh...
Of course, in the wild north that is Scotland we get this regularly. However, we're not important as we ain't born within the sound of Bow Bells. I ken it's bad at the moment, have just passed a pack of woolly mammoths en route to the village watering hole.
One forum user had the sense to vacate Manchester the day before the "great snow" and come up to glacial Dumfriesshire the other day. Hydemaine and his good lady will share a repast and swally at chez Auchinleckian tonight. Were going to be watching the Mancs as he's a City fan - poor deluded soul - but supposed we'll have to talk instead the noo. Wonder what the conversation will be about, and how soon we're sent to the office to discuss tactics?

Just come off the phone to a lovely young lady from Southampton. They are evacuating their building as they have had 4 inches of snow.

She asked where I was from, and when I said Sheffield, her words were, "Oh, I bet you've had some bad weather, that's above Birmingham. WHat is the snow like there, I bet you are used to it!"

I wun't know love, I carn't see't stuck darn't pit! Althu wife says its just covered whippets hind legs, so must be gerrin deep.

I work from home so cant use the 'excuse' of being snowed in. Although I was supposed to be at meetings on Tuesday in Chesterfield then Buxton then Matlock and then Ripley. I phoned to cancel them when I got as far as junction29 of the M1 only to be told that all the people I was supposed to be meeting had not made it into work anyway!

Bristol is pathetic in snow but have managed to go to work everyday so far. Working for British gas mending boilers it's a bit busy at the moment.

As a postman i did half a delivery today and none yesterday. I'm hope to do a full round tomorrow. It's a pain because i'm waiting for programmes in the post but have had no mail for 3 days. Unfortunately i don't work in the same office as my postman.
