Has the number of programmes being sold at grounds on match day gone down in recent years? I have noticed that there are a lot smaller queues at the stadium for programmes than in years gone by. Has anyone else noticed this, particularly for League games?

They are still big business at Ibrox, there are loads of vendors, they are also on sale at the ticket office and the Rangers shop on the day of the match, a subscription is also available from the club, but there are still queue's at certain times.

Palace work on a basis of 25% of the forecast attendance

In the Premier League our home games are 99% ticket bought in advance so it's pretty easy to know 48hrs before what the attendance is going to be (to within a few hundred).

What mucks it up is when there's a 'big game' and people buy more than they usually would or buy for people not at the the game (who have asked to be got a programme). Or just away teams which are big clubs/well collected clubs.

Those are the games where it sells out, although Palace are good and will do a reprint of 500 if they think there is demand

At Newport we print between at a ratio of 1 per 3 or 4 fans attending the game, depends on Hospitality requirements and number of visiting fans, as well as other factors like weather, Midweek or Saturday game, has there been a game just a few days before, all these factors affect sales.
