21st July we drew 2-2 at Cheltenham and then beat Bath City at Twerton Park (which we shared with Bath for 10 years) 2-1 a day later.
Friday evening I will be going to see us play Palace at The Mem.
I will be picking up a programme for stevecpfc1966. If anyone else wants one pm me this evening at the latest as I won't have time to log on tomorrow befor the game.

We lost 3-0 to Palace tonight.
Score was about fair at 1-0 until the 85th min when we gave away a pen and then they made it 3 a couple of mins later.
Overall it was a good game with some lovley moves from both sides.

Southport 0 Everton Reserves 1

Nice day out in the sunshine. Teamsheets handed out to spectators but those in the know got a 4 page programme and teamsheet from the clubshop. So I've got a few to hand out/sell

Whilst I was there I picked up Southport v Accrington Stanley 59-60 for a quid.

Newcastle fans are queuing back to Gateshead apparently. Predictions indicate that the queue will extend to Sunderland by the end of tonight.

On the bright side, fans favourite Joey Barton scored.

Happy days.

Got beat 2-0 at home to Middlesbrough today. We are 'ok' until you get to the strikers who are dreadful. If we get two goal scorers in we'll do ok, but as we won't we'll be down at the bottom again this season.

Middlesbrough won't last two minutes in the Championship if they role around like some of their players did today for what can only be described as fair 50:50 tackles. Good to see them at Brunton Park again though - they always bring a decent team over and always a fairly decent game.

I have just got back from our Pre-Season Friendly at Shrewsbury 4-0 up at half-time, took the foot of the pedal 2nd half. Prog was available, but it cost £15 to get in talk about taking the fans for a ride. Hate to think what they would have charged for a BIG club.

Just got back from a weeks break in sunny Skeggy, and was wondering if anyone can help with a few Wolves friendly progs all from the last week.
Couldn't make the games obviously, so even if you can only confirm if there was a program or not would be helpful.
anyhow these are the ones in question (all away);
21/7 v Walsall
22/7 v Port Vale
25/7 v Bristol City

Also, just as a bit of bragging (lol) I was in a boozer on holiday where I met a bloke who had been in Australia, and just got home. He got chatting to me as I was wearing a Wolves shirt, and said he had seen the Wolves friendlies out there. i asked if there had been a programme issued, and he told me he had a spare. Couldn't believe my luck. I asked him if he wanted to sell it, and he said I could have it for a fiver. needless to say I almost ripped his arm off, and he went home and fetched it there and then. What a bonus to a holiday that was. Oh and they're on sale on ebay for £10 so now I've found that out I'm even more happy.

Bolton's first team started with a 1-1 draw at Borussia MG yesterday.I sent them an email asking about a programme in the week but got no reply, however a seller on ebay is selling 10 official programmes. No photo and he is on holiday until 14 Aug,so not fully convinced yet.
The next match is at Den Bosch on Tuesday,a programme has appeared for that one on ebay already.

The reserves played at Leigh last week, don't know about a programme and at Altrincham yesterday when a programme was issued.

The last few seasons, the club have included all pre season friendlies in their home and away subscriptions which are £57 each for the season.I think i may take the easy option and pay my subs next week!

Everton beat the MLS All-Stars 4-3 on penalties after a 1-1 draw last night.

The MLS All-Stars were previously unbeaten against any Foreign opposition and you could see why after they dominated much of the match and had alot of great chances. Landon Donovan was outstanding once again. Why no English club has taken a gamble on him I don't know!

James Vaughan's pen was hilarious, only abouy 20 yards wide! Go on youtube to view!

I know it's only been a few hours but there is only 1 programme on ebay for the game and it's at £14.99 already.

Even the 1-0 defeat to River Plate on the weekend in Canada, there is only 1 available and thats at £5.

Not sure whether to wait a few weeks and get them alot cheaper or get them now incase not many come on. God I'm impatient!

I watched Arnold v Dunkirk on Saturday at Arnolds shiny new ground in the middle of nowhere. I think Dunkirk won 3-1 and it was an enjoyable game with a few ex Forest academy players on show.

Last night I watched Unity (Hucknall Town 'academy') v Notts County youth team. Notts County won 3-0 as their superior fitness shone through in the last 20 minutes. I dont like my team being linked with Unity but I have to say they/we had some decent players. Sven was not there as he got held up at Hooters on the way

Hearts played Bolton tonight in a friendly at Tynecastle.

The match finished 1-1.
The first half was very training sessionish but the second half was like a different game, I felt Hearts stepped up a gear or 2 and introduced a few youngsters who performed very well.
Bolton took the lead with a very quick counter attack, quick one-touch passing and a good finish.
Moments later, Hearts equalised with a 20 yarder from the big Frenchman, Christian Nade.

I felt Hearts controlled the game, we kept the ball well most times. I still feel we lack the killer touch in the box, I don't feel we are dangerous enough when we are attacking.

Hearts face Sunderland on Saturday, the programme issued for the Bolton game last night is a double issue with the Sunderland game, costing £2.50.

I feel quite humble posting in such illustrious company, but this is Romford's pre-season so far. Our move up to Step 4 - Ryman North - seems to have helped more than I thought, with three-figure plus crowds for all our home matches (no laughing at the back), despite still lodging out of town at Aveley. News due on a home of our own back in town should be forthcoming in the next few weeks.. and I thought I was nervous during a minor blip on the way to last season's title..

July 11 Canvey (H) 1-2 Reduced programme 50p, with last season's cover. Sold out but have access to more. Admission £5.
July 18 Aveley (A) 1-1 Our landlords never bother with friendly programmes, despite missing out on a Brucie Bonus. I think they charged a fiver too.
July 22 Chelmsford (A) 1-2 Amazingly it is only the second time we have faced our natural enemy since reformation in 1992 - both friendlies. They produced a 16pp effort for £1.50 and was doubly elated after getting the secretary to run me off some coloured team sheets - but kept the entrance fee down to a sensible £5. One of the worst places to view a game at Conference South level. Thank goodness for youtube.. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wc-2EYlX1w0
July 25 Needham Market (A) 0-2 Played on their outside pitch, didn't go, but think it was a £5 to get in. The ubiquitous 'the programme editor is on holiday' meant that nobody could be arsed to produce even a single sheet.
July 26 Fisher (H) 2-3 See Canvey game above.
Aug 1 Burnham Rblrs (A) 1-1 Couldn't believe they were charging £6 to get in and no programme. I'm not short of a few bob, but drunken principles kicked in and watched the first half from the bar (about 20 of us did the same, so their loss), where you could watch the half of the pitch and it was the end we were kicking into as well!
Aug 3 Thurrock (H) 1-1 See Fisher and Canvey games.
