For every auction we block book 10 rooms in the hotel for clients for the night before the auction. (this Sunday)

I was out of circulation yesterday so could not access the auction. Are the Football Sports Auction sale results posted anywhere on the internet? I see there are a few sale prices on The Saleroom but I cannot believe that so few lots were actually sold.

I was there till about lot 630 or so, most were sold, but I didn't write any down apart from the photos.

Hiya,

I don't take the option of Saleroom.com publishing my results as they haven't got a clue in that department. They give a very false reading. Many auction houses use this facility with them and in most cases Saleroom.com publish a hammer price when the item has in fact not sold due to not meeting its reserve.

Yesterday was again a great success, out of the 1130 lots only 111 didn't sell which is well below 15% and bucks the trend at many auction houses at the moment.

Every single QPR pre war home programme sold on the day with most well above the £40 reserve on each programme.

A prices realised spread sheet can be obtained after each auction via email to [email protected]

We are now in our 5th year of holding 4 auctions a year and over the past 6 months we have been responsible to selling 2 of the biggest private programme collections to have come on the market in recent years, which in turn has made 2 private vendors very happy.

The December 2nd catalogue is well on the way so if you have anything of interest please don't hesitate to get in touch.

Pete, were you the gentleman viewing the press photos when the viewing had closed ?
