There are always players for one reason or another that you dislike throughout their career whether it be for maiming your top goal scorer, being abusive to the fans or just for a being a total tosser.

One of my dislikes was Michael Chopra for his antics whenever he scored against us, particularly in the play off final at Wembley in 2010.

It has been offically announced this morning that Chopra has signed for Blackpool.

Tremendous signing, I have forgotten all the bad things already. Laughing

I just hope he can concentrate on his football without the distractions that Blackpool has to offer.

I hate Shearer-100% great, great striker, a million percent phoney!
wanted to come to United but Uncle Jack said no, so he stood on the balcony of the town hall telling them all i'm home!.
Still he won a Prem medal at Blackburn bought and paid for by Walker, and that was that for him winning wise-how he must hate Giggsy and especially all the other United kids that have picked up several each!

Hated i think would be a little OTT in discribing the Evertonians feelings for one Mr Roy Hartel (Bolton) but he did not endear himself to the Blues fans after his performance at Goodison Park 62/63 season ,he truly was a tough, uncompromising full-back he allowed nothig but nothing to get passed him?.

Willie Miller and Billy Bremner.

Two peas out of the same rancid pod.

The only people who could hate Willie Miller, or as he is known in Aberdeen, God, could be fans of the Old Firm or possibly Dundee Utd. He was only hated because... a) He was the best penalty box defender in the world...b) he took everything the OF could throw at hime and gave it back double....c) he was a part of getting Aberdeen to the top of European football, something unthinkable and unrepeatable these days... and d) he was the best referee in Scottish football in the 70's and 80's which equalised some of the establishment's intrinsic bias towards them ... He also lived up the road from me in Aberdeen next to my mate and was a dead scary neighbour, yet signed an autograph for me on my stag night in Aberdeen in the mid-90's!

Billy Bremner, I can understand ....

Terry Curran at Sheffield Wednesday, Mick McCartney at Barnsley, Alan Biley Pompey, all in the late 70's / early 80's. Think a few other folk at Blundell Park would have felt the same as well.

Never used to hate Graeme Crawford at York, in fact I really admired him, but we could never put a goal past him. How he didn't move on to a much better and higher club I'll never ever know. Think he still holds the Football League record for not conceding a goal in about 13 games or so?

Mostly those in green in white hoops mostly serial cheats - Jimmy Johnstone,Tom Boyd, Henrik Larrson, Darren Jackson, Joe Miller etcetera. Franny Lee was a little dick so was Rodney Marsh,George Best was an embarrassment when he went on tv and a bad example to all who idolised him so was Gazza, although I must say I didn't hate these two.

Eck, to quote a certain vintage tennis player, you can not be serious! Larrson, along with Laudrup were the two best players attracted to the SPL when it had money to burn, or the Old Firm to be more precise. Both were model professionals, and both supremely talented. I've never yet met a Celtic fan that wouldn't have loved to have had Laudrup in their team, or a Gers fan the same with Larrson. As for Jinky....gis a break, a one off genius, the same as Baxter when he had a blue shirt on his back!

Then playing for Gillingham, Steve Bruce was hated by County fans after he tried to break Tommy Tynan's leg in a game at Priestfield in 1983, but somehow managed to break his own instead. Very Happy

As funny as it was (& still is!), the flat-faced goon did really tick us off at the time.

I'm not doubting their talent but the question was not about who you think were shit players. i've seen Jinky fall over a blade of grass many times, running down the wing and knocking the ball forward with his hand and trying to punch the ball out of the keepers hands. Larrson was always conning the ref by grabbing a handful of shirt ,falling to the ground and the defender falls on top and he gets a penalty, he had loads of other tricks. Cheating is my pet hate in football and it's something that the governing bodies have never made a real effort to combat. Look at Lafferty,he could be the best player in the world but people would still hate him for that terrible display against Aberdeen.
There is no doubt Maradona is in the top two players of all time but well hated by England fans.

Eco! I have to agree with Auch about Laudrup and Larsson. As a Dons fan I am programmed to hate the Old Firm but for those two I'd make an exception. Both incredibly gifted and by modern football standards, fair! And as far as grabbing shirts and going down to get penalties, the two best/worst were Chris Sutton and Ally McCoist - just YouTube the pen he won against us in the Cup Final in 1982(not sure of date). And I know you might disagree but I've got to put Wilie Johnston into the hated category ...[/quote]
