Is this still a desired programme or has it dropped off the radar a bit now?

I saw it in a box of 50's Grantham,Leicester,Notts County and Forest at a local auction earlier this evening and I'm mulling over a bid........nothing very exciting in there but I keep thinking I'd like that Accrington one for myself.

Still quite sought after.

One sold for just over £50 a couple of weeks ago on E-bay.

I think there was a wrap around cover round the standard Stanley programme, the one in the box is just that, while the one on eBay has a commemorative cover.

I think I'll have a nibble anyway!

The Grantham ones could well be worth the investment Andy, especially any reserves against League reserves or "A" sides.

I just had a look at my copy, it seems it is a special souvenir programme and there is no standard issue inside, so this is the only version. As a point of interest, teams from over the border were deemed sufficiently exotic a draw to invite for floodlight openings.
Stanley were one of the first teams from the North to have lights, and the Third Division North v South fixturethere on 13/10/55 was the first representative game under floodlights in the UK with the BBC broadcast in glorious black and white.

Well I missed out on them........went for £120!

I'd have liked the Accy one for myself and then seen if Sut wanted any of The Gingerbread issues, the rest would have ebayed .

Win some, lose some.

Thanks for the message earlier, not sure if the winning bidder is a member here, but if he is, please get in touch RE: the Grantham programmes before you ebay them !?!

It looks like some of the Grantham stuff has surfaced being sold by BFE on ebay.......unless they've got very similar stuff.

Andy would that BFE you think might be the sellers of the Grantham none other than KnoB, Fwank and Elfpish?

They are different items Andy

I know where those came from and it wasn't an auction at Boston, it was from a friend who sold them to KnoB, Fwank and Elfpish
