A spreading collection...

My collection was once just programmes from my (rugby) club which unfortunetly went bust in 2004. (On the bright side, at least there is a finite number of programmes to collect!)

However in recent years the collection is spreading out. First it was other items connected to the club - photos, trophies etc, then it became programmes and other memorabilia featuring club players playing in representative games...then it became other representative games of a certain era - first WW2, now WW1 and before.

Now I find myself browsing ebay and other sites thinking "That looks nice..." even if it has nothing to do with my collection even in the loose sense of the word!

I assured my wife,it's under control - i'll make some money back on these ones and that means i've got these for half price.....the rent's paid so what are you worried about? I know it's chilly but it's not winter,i'll get the lecky back on for Xmas,don't worry.... I can stop anytime I want, you're such a nag.

Took my ex to a programme fayre a while back..."you're all just little boys who never grew up" said she.

I couldn't find an argument.

We walked back into town and straight into the nearest shoe shop.

"Why, when you've got 30 pairs of shoes in the cupboard, most of which you never wear,do you need those?" says I.

She couldn't think of a reason.

But we all know that a collection of shoes is not a collection in the eyes of a woman.

Not to mention the handbags that match the shoes and the scarf that matches the handbag and the coat that matches the scarf and the hat that matches the coat....

I shoud have added - all worn just the once as they are never suitable for any other 'event' whatsoever!

I was at a party and a woman in a white dress followed me home,that was ten years ago and she 's still here. She never wore the dress again btw.
