This may be only me, but this really boils my piss..

the amount of reproduction programmes surfacing on ebay these days is getting silly, I know some are well produced blah blah blah but some are rare single sheets done by some twat with a colour photocopier!!

secondly people who list single items in the collection/bulk category, FFS its not rocket science is it!!

rant over, and in hindsight its petty........phew thats better

Clap

My irritation is particularly quirky - I hate the "Buy It Now" feature.
Would never use it.

To me, it sends a message to potential buyers that the seller wants to sell but is too bloody frightened that the item goes for less than what he thinks it's worth.

Let the market decide a programme's value.

On the other hand if someone has a wants list they can get want they want without the agg of losing out in the last seconds of the auction. I speak for myself here.

Personal irritation at present is buyers who don't pay up promptly or don't get in touch!

It's only £4 or so, but would love them to pay so I can do one claim for paypal and pay off my ebay a/c and postage on the credit card!

I used to go to a gig when i was younger 2 or 3 times a week, but I haven't been for over 20 years. A combination of becoming disillusioned with the music of the early 90s and the fact that I never wanted to be considered the 'old git at the bar'.

However, I do resent these people/organisations who buy up blocks of tickets for venues the minute they go on sale, to then flog off for grossly inflated prices under the pretence that for some reason they've got to work and can't make it, or there 6 friends can't make it. Mad.

It's blatant ticket touting.

Sheffield United teamsheets priced at £5 plus. (You know who you are!)

Tickets with postage of more than £1

That tosser who sells signatures stuck to a card

Those people who contact you after you have failed to sell a 99p item, asking if it is still for sale as they missed the end of the auction. You inform them that they can have it for the listing price plus the stated p&p.................... you then hear nothing more from them!

Tw@ts who list all their mind numbing 70's, 80's and 90's programmes in the pre 1950's section in the hope of getting better viewings. It doesn't work, you planks.

All the reproduction F A Cup Final tickets on sale at the moment. All the repro Europen programmes - I just don't go on that section any more, same as the pre 1950's FA Cup programmes, 90% of which are repros. Why can't ebay have a section specifically for repros, and then ban the numbskulls who still try and put them on the normal sites?

Buy it Now. What an absolute waste of time where people put something on at least three times the normal price hoping to find a mug buyer who doesn't know any better. I know the very occasional gem can turn up on BIN, but as I only use it in a month with a "K" in it, I rarely get to see them.

Punters who don't put feedback on when you've bought something, until you've put your own feedback on. I contact a few of them and advise that as I've fulfilled my part of the bargain I'm expecting them to leave feedback first. They think I'm an alien for this.

Postage costs, so very much a con and ebay do nothing about it. The other day some seller had a few very common big match programmes for sale at £0.01 minimum bid, but then you check the postage and it's £3.99 so the cheapskates don't pay 20 odd pence commission.

Thatcher. Nothing to do with ebay.....still hate her though Laughing

Personally agree with "banleystowles", I think there is a place for Buy It Now, as someone maybe desperate to get hold of an item and will pay just a little bit more to secure it, without the high risk of losing it in the last few seconds.

Also, I absolutely hate the "watch" facility No , you list an item and its watched for ages, the the listing ends and you still have a watcher but no bid. You re-list in good faith thinking that maybe the watcher wasn't able to place a bid because of work or they were out etc, but hope that they will find the re-listed item and then place their bid when convenient. But no, the watcher finds the re-listed item and watches it without ever bidding, this continous cycle carries on and on and on. I don't really see the point ??

Eastern european buyers who ruin a hard earned 100% feedback by claiming 'The programme was posted when wet'................

The use of the word 'rare' when describing worthless rubbish.

The use of the phrase 'comes from a smoke-free & pet-free home'.

Eastern European customers claiming not to have received items.

Ebay fees.

PayPal fees.

Not being able to leave dodgy buyers negative feedback.

to be continued ...................

Very Happy

The increase in buyers who say they have not received their item.

I think that there should be a part on the ebay profile stating how many times somebody has been refunded and the reasons for doing so.

I had a recent experience of this (to go with a few more claims of non arrivals) where I informed somebody that I would claim on the (pop...proof of posting) receipt and when i received it, they would get a full refund. This obviously wasnt good enough for this particular buyer who then set the ebay 'non arrival of item' system rolling. It doesnt seem to matter to ebay wether you have proof, tracking or whatever....they took the money out of my account.

It gets to the stage where you start to doubt the integrity of everybody who claims that the item has not arrived.....and it shouldn't be like that.

Like I mentioned earlier...there should be a listing on how many times and why buyers have been refunded.

RETARDS that ask you if you have a buy it now when you put something on (to bid for) at a low starting price that is obviously worth much more. Very annoying and 99% of them have the item back on ebay 48 hours later if you ever fall for it and sell it cheap

As i think i've said before , 99 percent of Ebay transactions are great, no problems at all. It's the one percent that drive you mad, especially the ones that take over a week to pay or post an item . No excuse at all.
I don't mind " Buy it now" as sometimes a bargain turns up, but you have to be fast.
How people list an item doesn't bother me now, as experience teaches you to read between the lines.
I think most moans are just petty, except having to wait for a week with no communication, it drives me nuts.
