The said programme was on a list for £100 about a year ago (give or take a few months), After checking the current list it is now available at £80.

Will be interesting to see what the users of eBay go up too....

I give up on this subject ......you try to help and advise people .....and you get others telling you that you are talking a load of rubbish and posting inane comments ............. If evryone on this forum had plenty of money ....they woudnt be on here they would just through money at it ......and buy everything they wanted at top notch price from the dealers that charge the top notch prices , and we all know who they are .....Some of us live in the REAL WORLD ..........

Yes you can, by altering the invoice - I often do when someone's bought multiple lots. It saves time at the Post Office as well.

You try and help people!!
How?

You told him he was a rip off artist who with 100 plus credits on ebay must know more than he was letting on.

Then you told him to rummage in a dust bin for old knackered envelopes whilst eating 500 packets of sodding cornflakes.

Then you tell anybody on the forum who can afford to bid over 99p for anything on ebay OR support a top four club that they are rich.
And if they can afford to buy from a dealer they don't live in the real world

What has the hobby com to

Yes you can alter p&p in auction. You can also alter it when sending invoice. In fact you can also alter it after invoice sent and then resend invoice with new p&p.

calm down mate this is supposed to be a forum to help each other. Not sure why you are so obsessed about trying to stop the enquirer selling to people on this forum...do you have shares in ebay ? The guy asked for advice and quite a lot was forthcoming including advice about prices reached on some of his more unusual items. He may or may not get a better price on ebay/auction (it is not guaranteed) but that is no reason to rant about the people on here.......... I suspect you have dealt with only a small fraction of the people on here so why this sweeping generalisation about how they are all out to con sellers. You seem to manage to start a fight in an empty room.

I assure you i am totally calm at all times.

I agree it is a forum that is meant to help each other but as has been mentioned already by a long time member it has become very predatory.

Overall there are a few nice people but you can feel others lurking just waiting to pounce on the unsuspecting.

Try it sometime.
Come on the forum under an alias and start with the words "I an new to this and have programmes to sell from th 1940's" or "i am a new collector and would like to find Chelsea/Tottenham/Manchester City etc from the 1980's and 1990's" and then see how many times the words pm sent come up.

I am not trying to stop the enquirer selling to collectors on the forum.
Very few people on the forum pro rata buy off other members on this forum.
Just look at how few replies there are in the programmes for sale at fixed prices.
Anybody offering programmes for sale at the correct price is of no use to most members on this forum as most are not collectors but are dealer/collectors.
Nothing wrong with that but just a point.

I have indeed dealth with only a small fraction of the people on this forum.
I like to think that i have helped in one way or another several nice people on the forum but very few members take an active part.
The same people go round and round.

Please show ME where I said he was a rip off artist ........... ????????????? Im waiting ???????????
I said his postage was way too high .......at £3.50 .......... Read and digest .................... Where did I tell him to rummage through a Dust Bin ...............You are obvoiously not one of Roy Keane's Prawn Cocktail Brigade as you can not read and understand the English language ...... Where I live ( In England ) we HAVE to ( and I prefer to ) RECYCLE ......paper AND CARDBOARD ..............I can only assume from what you say that in Old Trafford they throw EVERY ( I wont say SODDING ) THING in the dust bin and end up burying it in a BIG HOLE in the ground ........

Heres another programme that im sure may be sought after .....but the postage would seem to be quite reasonable dont you think ???Why spend .........how much did you say it was, I cant remember, was it £1.85 on a NEW Hardbacked Envelope ??? Save the BUYER some money , unless of course money is no object to your buyer???

I don't necessarily disagree with the multiple PM's popping up, but surely a lot the forum members are likely to need 1940's for their own collection? Again, the 1980-90's era is where a lot of forum members would have doubles. Obviously we don't know the contents of the PM's but what's to say they are offering their spares for peanuts?
Personally I'm getting to a point where I have explored most avenues of buying programmes for my collection, therefore an unknown seller for me is a good thing..... Maybe some new stuff that I need/want.

As goonerboy said "calm down"

You did not specifically use the words"rip off merchant" but you very seriously implied them didn't you.
You also didn't tell him to rummage through a dustbin but you also didn't tell him where to find 500 reusable envelopes and 500 reusable cornflake packets.

This is a hobby and has, quite rightly, collectors at every financial level.
You are clearly at the pennies financial level which is absolutely fine but please don't resent those collectors that can afford to pay more than 99p for a programme they want.
As you have your choice they have theirs.

Finally i will ignore the comment about me not being able to read and understand the English language as i note you come from Oldham.

Well you really do your homework I see ..........You HAVE obviously logged into the forum under another name/s ( for some dubious reason ) I assume this is what you implied in one of your previous posts, "Try It, log in under a different name" . . . . Then YOU someone from Manachester try to insult someone from Oldham ..........ha ha ha , now that really is a JOKE Easy . . . .
I would advise you to look under the post of USED ENVELOPES to see what the rational members of this forum think on this subject ....I rest my case
