Why not ask the auction house directly ?.

As Nozer quite rightly said, 'Ask the auction house'.

The fact that you're unable to do, suggests that the auction is taking place today and therefore I am going to assume you are talking about Tim Davidson's auction. If it doesn't state the number of programmes in brackets, but merely says (QTY), your only guide is the picture on saleroom.

Forget the quantity, concentrate on the quality. Smile

Only you can answer that question, either you want it or you don't.

You pay your money and take your chance.

How much do you intend to bid? (No need to answer that)

Taking into account the postal charge and commission, you could find yourself paying a lot for a box of crap.

Without being there you have no idea of condition and variety.

How many duplicates etc etc

Are you a purchasing as a collector or are you merely wanting a large quantity of programmes on the cheap to sell on, like a lot of the bedroom bandits on this forum.

Bare in mind that there is any number of bundles at auction like these, and there's a reason for it. A lot of it, is just s**te that the auction houses can't sell so they bundle it together and throw it a box and announce it's some kind of treasure trove.

So there you go, obviously it's an individual choice but personally, as a collector, then no I'd give it a miss.
