The Growth of this site

Thanks to everyone for their continued use of the site.

There are loads of new things coming out but none of it would be possible without all the members.

Today was a significant day as we surpassed the number of posts that were made on the old board which we only switched from at the end of November last year. The old board ( http://footballprogs.proboards.com/index.cgi ) was up and running for around 18 months and received 4,829 posts in 783 different topics. This board now has 4865 posts in 798 topics!

We also have passed the 200 members mark in the last couple of days which is also exciting!

Just for fun then, lets predict how many posts and members there will be when the Premier League kicks off next season on 15th of August 2009.

Ill guess at 8100 postsfrom 340 members.

Got no idea as to what to guess at for number of posts/forum members, but one thing i will say is:

Were about 30 posts away from 5000 now. We will more than likely hit that figure on the weekend.

I do still feel that it will slow down a little over the summer with there being no football on to keep the interest going.

Hopefully I can be proved wrong though!

As I said in another thread: This site, in my opinion is a god send for football programme collectors and a huge congratulations to all who made it happen, it’s fantastic to see the site growing by the day, I would also add there seems to be a real respect among the collectors on here and everyone seems to go out of there way to help others if they can as they know it will be returned.

Don’t know about others on here but I often question myself 'is it time to stop collecting and maybe my collection should move on' - But I can honestly say my passion for collecting Manchester City programmes is growing stronger with age and can spend hours at time sorting through them.

You really are a pessimistic arent you!! With 2 months still to go we've passed your "posts" prediction and your "users" prediction.

We have 327 registered users
