can anybody tell me the match ticket number for the 1958 fairs cup final barca v london XI....i have a ticket that was sold to me as an original, but i need to have it confirmed by someone in the know, barcalona have not replied to any of my emails(bastardo's)the correct number should confirm whether or not i have a £500 ticket or a £3 bit of toot..

hi,although it might be 2 years too late !
if your ticket has a big number 31 on it then you have the right control number this is what barça use for each match ,every match has a different control number these you would normally see in old /barca football mags a couple of weeks before a match.
alas the bigger problem for you is what is the background picture on the ticket,again each season had a certain type of picture on it so even if you have the correct control number 31 you might not have the actaul right season!
thats as much as i can tell you,ithink it would be wise to find another ticket for that season and see if it is the sam picture.

Looks like somebody sold a few number 33 tickets on ebay in the past and convinced potential buyers that it was the actual match ticket number. I remember when i listed my number 31 ticket on ebay a couple of years ago and got a whole lot of abuse from the Fairs Cup Final 'specialists'(hahaha)
who ''told'' me my ticket was not the ticket for the match and ''warned'' me that if i continued to list the ticket on ebay and make a sale they would inform the buyer that i had ''conned'' them. Read It

So when the so called 'specialists', who basically told me i was trying to pull a fast one, list their number 33 tickets in the future i will take great pleasure in contacting the buyers to tell them they have been conned! Ciao! Wave

having looked a littel bit more into this,i have consulted a barca book which covers all their matches from 1899-1969-70 fixture wise i did attempt to try and keep this as an index but ended up leaving it on the side of the road.however i have noticed this
barca v london select 1-5-58 ticket number 31
barca v newcastle utd 12.5.58 friendly match number t 32
see also scan from weekly football mag dated 5.5.58
so no 33 could be another freindly match at the end of that season
laliga finished on 4.5.58
