Mine has to be Albion v Palave 01/02 season, when we went up to the Premiership after sixteen years of been out of the top flight.

Hello all,

I have been collecting match tickets for over twenty years.

My favourite items are:

European Cup Winners Cup Final 1993 - Parma 3 V Royal Antwerp 1.

Football League Play-Off Final 1996 - Crystal Palace 1 V Leicester City 2.

UEFA Euro 2004 - Group D - Czech Republic 2 V Latvia 1.

UEFA Euro 2004 - Group C - Bulgaria 0 V Denmark 2.

Kind regards.

PalaceKev.

Wow - resurrected thread 21 months after the last post.

Mine would have to be one of the various tickets I have from the 1953 FA Cup Final.

1966 World Cup Final wouldn't be far behind though.

Should be the 1946 FAC Final - but, to be honest, it's the 38/9 Arsenal v Derby ticket as the original owner has penned (or, rather, pencilled) details of what girl he was meeting and where after the match. (on the reverse of the ticket)

All adds to the charm. And I do wonder if they met up. And got on with one another.

Guess I'll never know....

That Thistle one is a corker, great memory. I've a few Rangers v Celic cup final tickets but Celtic one most of them. My favourite would be Leeds v Rangers 92/93.

Our home game with Carl Zeiss in the '81 ECWC Quarter-final is like hens teeth - never seen one on eBay or on offers-lists in all my years of watching like a hawk.

18,000 were issued & sold, but 17,000 of those were terrace & were kept & subsequently destroyed on entry.
Only the 1100 grandstand tickets were handed back to you on entry, in order to gain transfer to the stand once inside the ground.

Due to their disposable nature and the lack of ticket collecting nous back then, very few of those survive nowadays it seems.

I still have my green lower stand ticket from that night along with a lilac upper stand. So they're probably my most prized out of my 1,000 County tickets.

The blue voucher that preceded it is pretty common though, plenty of those still surface.

It has to be my unused ticket for the match when Leicester City played the Thailand National team in the Thailand Tour 2010.

Fair do's, that is a beautiful ticket, stunning!

I have several vintage examples for my lads, including one from our first ever all-ticket game just after the war, but absolutely nothing pre-war whatsoever.

I've yet to come across a pre-war example for the County in all my years of collecting.

Must admit though, it isn't the vintage tickets that are my favourites, more the ones from my own youth of the late seventies / early eighties.
They're certainly not as valuable as the older examples, but much more personal.
