I wonder if anyone can help me here. I'm popping back home for a few weeks holiday next week, and would like to know if anyone knows of a shop in London or the the London area that sells programmes or has a decent selection of football/sports books, if there is here's hoping they have'nt been looted or burnt to the ground by the time i get there, cheers Mick |

Slightly off-topic, but a few matches scheduled to be played tonight have been called off in the wake of the rioting. And the first thing I thought of was the programmes for these games fetching silly prices in years to come... |

If progs were printed for these postponed cup games, then it would make economic sense for them to be used for the re-arranged dates. Hopefully, the passage of time won't be too great so they won't be too out-of-date, as things must surely calm down soon? Please.
The world's gone mad.
Not like the old days in more ways than one. 1958/59 Bury v York FAC on November 16th - abandoned due to fog.....new prog for the re-played game 3 days later! 1960/61 Tranmere v York FAC - prog for postponed game on the Saturday, whole new prog for the re-arranged game a few days later! On the other extreme, you always feel ripped off in attending a re-arranged league game in, say, March, and getting the programme from the original match that was called off at Xmas! |
