The first league game at valley parade after the tragic fire was
26th december 1986 v Derby County

I remember going to Odsal for Bradfords first game. It was against Brighton in the League cup early in 85/86 season.

I thought that I went to the first match back at VP, it was City v England X1, i dont know the date but i thought that it preceded the Derby game on Boxing day.

Yes Posh you would be correct there . I was putting the match dates for the actual games played in a League Season .
The date of the Opening game at Valley Parade v England XI was 14-12-86
