Leeds v Hull 49-50 Pirate

Below is a picture of Leeds v Hull 1949-50 pirate issue I have recently purchased in a small collection.

It was published by M Walker - 30 Shipton Road, Sutton and was printed by T.A Chesire of Birmingham.

It's labelled as a Photographic Souvenir Programme.






Any ideas on value?

Are your sure its a pirate programme, as i didnt think they listed the team line ups ?

Definately a pirate, programme looks nothing like the regular leeds home programme...very nice programme though !

I have a similar one from 54/55 FAC 1st Round Northampton v Coventry and the team line ups were listed there. And to the best of my knowledge it is a pirate Souvenir Programme. Still no idea of value, I picked mine up for under £10.

Team line-ups are shown to the top half of the third picture

Such photographic souvenir programmes were produced for quite a few games in the late 40's/early 50's. 2 different ones for England v Republic of Ireland at Goodison Park in 1949.

I've picked some of them up on ebay for a tenner or less over the years but occasionally they go for quite a bit more.

Almost identical to a pirate I have in my collection for Burnley's FA Cup tie at Notts County in 1949/50.

seen some get silly in the past 30-40 pounds but they were Chelsea.
i would say about £15 would be a fair guess.
