Unfortunately very very poorly, suffice to say there will not be anymore FPD and probably not the IPF.

If this posting makes it way to David, Best wishes mate.

Sorry, my apologies, symptomatic of working for an American owned company.
FPD Football Programme Directory, monthly programme related magazine since early seventies
IPF International Programme Fair, held first Saturday in June every year since early seventies. Sad to say that I attended the first one, 1974 from memory, but I stand to be corrected. I hasten to add that I haven’t attended every one.

David is one of the true gents of the football programme world, and was one of the first, if not the first, to import major games from Europe. I know when I joined the FPD in about 1983 I got a huge amount of help, and programmes, from like minded individuals. Picked up an FPD the other week, but it's not a patch on what it was, with only four or five programme related adverts, where it used to be laden with them. Lost out major style to Programme Monthly in the late 80's onwards, but retained a loyal subcriber's list.

Sorry to say that David has passed away, he really was in bad health and in the end was for the best. As a result the International Fair has been cancelled.

Rip Dave.

To be honest I have never heard of him before but I don't really attend many fairs.

It must be a great loss to the programme fair society to lose such a high profile figure.

I had never met him personally either, but only heard good things about him from others, especially the work he put in organizing fairs etc.

RIP Dave.
