The Rugby team I support - Sheffield Eagles - no longer produces matchday programmes. All the clubs in the league have voted to sell a generic weekly magazine, covering every game in the league that weekend. It was the first game on Wednesday and out of the 48 page magazine there was 3 pages relating to my team, they're having a laugh if they think i'm paying £2 for that!!

The only way to put an end to that sort of rubbish is if no one buys it. Trouble is I bet enough will to make it profitable. Speak to everyone you know and try to get them to boycott it. Sign up to message boards and do the same there.
It might work you never know.

Looks like they are going the way of Americans, sure they used to do something like this for major League soccer.

Spoke to our programme editor a couple of weeks ago. He is under more and more pressure to increase revenue from our programme as I think they break even with it, but not much more.
