Any York fans able to confirm whether the Trophy game next Saturday 7th December will have a printed programme available on the day?

Hi Flashhat
Yes there will definitely be a printed programme, but will most likely have a reduced number of pages ( and be slightly cheaper) as is standard for the early stages of the trophy.
Hope this helps
Paul

Thanks Paul, what are the options for parking at the ground?

Ground is in a large retail park with parking time limits, however there is a section of it specifically for the football fans which is bookable in advance online through the York City website.

No idea about if there are free on street options a walk away though

As Dorking says, the ground is in the middle of a shopping and leisure complex just off the A64 and A1237, with the usual bottlenecks from time to time although generally it is far better access than we ever expected.
Getting out is another thing altogether – no different from anywhere else really when everyone tips out at once. TBH, I’m often home earlier than when City played at Bootham Crescent, as that was a longer walk back to the car.

In recent weeks the roads have been noticeably busier due to Xmas markets around York, so allow plenty of time.

You can pay to park in a reserved parking area area on matchday via the club website (£5, stay as long as you want), or pay on the day, or spend a fiver or more at M&S food hall/Next etc and have your general 2-hour parking ticket validated for the max 4 hours stay. Not sure when the parking stewards start work though. Bear in mind that the game at the weekend may go to ET/pens.

There is parking along New Lane, Huntington around a 10 – 15 min walk, and a few housing estates but this is limited.

For more info on the stadium, getting there, and parking go to

As much as everyone mourned the passing of BC – especially me - the new stadium is a fantastic facility. It’ll be interesting to think what you think of it.

Went with Wrexham a couple of years ago. Getting away after the game was a nightmare, best part of 2 hours to get out of the car park.
My advice would be to look at parking away from the ground.

All noted, however is a trophy game against Darlington likely to pull a large crowd?
