Dorking Wanderers - digital only Crying or Very sad Crying or Very sad Crying or Very sad

(looks like I will be using printaprogramme a lot)

I am in touch with the clubs head of procurement if anyone can suggest budget friendly options (considering some National League matches last season they only sold 50 printed copies) please let me know and I will happily pass them on

At the moment even those companies where you can order a subscription of printed programmes from the digital publisher would be something

After the first round of 12 fixtures yesterday in the National League, the following 10 clubs seem to have issued based on what I've seen on their website/ebay etc.
Aldershot
Atrincham
Boston United
Dagenham
Halifax Town
Gateshead
Oldham Athletic
Southend United
Tamworth
Yeovil

Not sure about Maidenhead and AFC Fylde although both produced last season.

We should have a list of the other 12 clubs next weekend, although 4-5 of those were non-issuers or PDF only last season.

York City are definitely issuing, so happy to take pre-orders for programmes/teamsheets if anyone needs any.

The team sheets cost 20p from sellers pre-match so don't be tempted to pay £7.50 (plus £3.85 postage) from ABLE-MABLE on ebay....amazingly, staggeringly, some folks do and I don't think they are original copies either Shocked Confused

Not seen the Maidenhead v Eastleigh programme but programmes seem go be available to pre order for collection or delivery by clicking “Book” for the relevant match

Truro (NLS) are printed. £3, good enough for the level.

An update on Dorking Wanderers. It is now digital only, but it is a really awful format. They put a link on their twitter page a few hours before kick off (don't seem to put the link on the club website)

This takes you to a webpage full of 'links' and if you click on each link it opens up the managers comments, the current league table etc.

You can't download it as such and it's not in any sort of printable, or A5 page format

Load of rubbish basically

Loads of people complained at the game, and so they went into overdrive printing numerous free teamsheets to try and compensate in some way

Might have been a bit fiddly for an away fan to get hold of a teamsheet as they weren't distributed in the away end as far as I saw (Dorking segregate)

One bloke who complained was a groundhopper who said he is on a facebook page, he will put about there being no programmes any more and that loads of the fans on there won't choose to come to Dorking games now!

Anyway, being stubborn, I spent some time doing 'snips' of the content, and produced an 8 page 'copy and paste' attempt of my own on 'word', which I have sent off to be printed into a programme. It will have to do for my collection.

Also, If you don't make sure you copy and paste stuff like the league table before the game, then the link to it (if you look at the online programme after the game) shows the updated one *groan*

At least I can always get a colour teamsheet I suppose

Confused

Dorking do a 'proper' digital programme (that you can print) for their B team, so I hope they switch to that format asap

Really sorry to hear that, Dorking. What a pain in the a*se.

The second set of NL fixtures were played at the weekend, but some clubs still haven't had a home fixture - not sure why.
Based on what I've found from looking at websites etc

Week 1 issuers
Aldershot
Atrincham
Boston United
Dagenham
Halifax Town
Gateshead
Oldham Athletic
Southend United
Tamworth
Yeovil
Maidenhead.

Week 2 issuers (first home games)
Eastleigh
Ebbsfleet
Braintree
Hartlepool (welcome back to print, article on their website about it)
Rochdale
Wealdstone
York

Not 100% known still but likely issuers - AFC Fyde, Sutton Utd

PDF - Woking, Solihull

Yet to play at home but likely PDF at best - Barnet, FGR

Will update further once everyone has played a home game

Needham Market Town in the National League North produced a programme on Saturday vs Southport, but they were all sold out as I entered the stadium.

Better luck on Tuesday for the visit of Scunthorpe.

Torquay (NLS) is printed - £3

Chelmsford (NLS) printed £3.50

Chippenham (NLS) printed £3

Weston super Mare - printed

Eastbourne - incredibly they put the whole programme online for free the day before the match (link on twitter) but also sell very high quality printed copies on the day as well (£3). Lovely programme

Aveley - pocket sized, 32 page programme, full colour, A6 in size - really good and very different. A very reasonable £2 as well, great job considering they get quite small attendances

The way I've understood what I've been told is that you can order a printed programme for home delivery only from the website.

The club will then arrange to print as many that have been ordered for each game and post them accordingly.

It starts this Saturday against Dagenham & Redbridge.

Thanks Maidonian - I am passing on all these examples to my club, as they are still potentially able to be swayed

Dorking is digital only. The link to it is on twitter (x) a few hours before each home game

However I take the digital content and make it into an 8 page pdf prgramme purely for my own collection, which I send off to MK to be made up into a single physical copy for myself.

I would imagine that is what you may have been offered, albeit the Dorking-Torquay fixture isn't for months yet?

What I produce is VERY rough and ready (lots of copy and paste into a word doc) and not official.

Dorking are apparently working behind the scenes to create a digital programme that is actually in 'programme format. They like the Maidenhead model whereby it is free for people to read online, but if collectors want a physical copy then it can be ordered for a fee and a printed copy comes in the post within the week following the game
