Wembley stadium question

Possibly one for groundhoppers and Slightly off topic but does this year count as the centenary of Wembley stadium (the first event / FAC final Bolton v West Han was in 1923) or is this not the case anymore given there is a new stadium built on the existing site??

There doesn’t seem to be any reference to it at all.

Yep, 2023 is the centenary year. There is a 'Wembley 100' campaign but I'm not sure how big a fuss is going to be made of it.

I've not seen much comment around this but, as Griffon says, it's 100 years since the original opened so worthy of some commemoration

As an aside, if you look on eBay and search for "Glen Isherwood" you can pick up his wonderful statistical history of the old stadium - every single match is covered, right down to Ealing's half season there in 1928
