Since giving away my original collection many years ago, I have been painstakingly re-collecting them. I have managed to get those programmes from matches that you just don't see, the postponed games and quite a lot of friendlies. All I need is a slowly decreasing number of friendly matches away against non-league teams, some of which may not have even issued programmes.

The one that I really didn't expect to see, was a charity match between a Pompey ex-professionals' team against Hampshire Constabulary, played at the Navy's stadium at Pitt St in Portsmouth in 1970. I went to the game and did once have the programme. My only memories are that Pompey won 3-1 and it featured Jimmy Dickinson, in what must have been one of his last appearances.
Imagine my surprise, when on e-bay this morning, I saw a programme from the same match from 1969, it must have been regular event. No use to me, but it shows that there is still hope.

There is defo always hope ,I was looking for a Worstershire v Kettering for over 12 years and I never gave up hope ,,put eBay on one evening and to my amazement there she was and I got it for a reasonable price ....I would have been prepared to pay anything for that programme has it was the only one I needed for my collection.

I am still looking for a Bexley United v Barnet programme from 20/10/1965. This is the only printed programme i need to complete every Barnet programme(home & away) from 1965(year turned pro) up to present date. I live in hope that one will appear somewhere one day.

Pompey v Villa 27/4/1955 has proved elusive to me.

18,000 plus crowd but it seems difficult to obtain.

Retford v Worsbrough Bridge Athletic 28/12/20 qualifies as obscure I'm sure. Late decision to travel and arrived after they had sold out.

Not even sure that these even exist.

1973/74 Rhyl v WBA (pre-season friendly)
1975/76 WBA v Coventry (end of season friendly)
1981/82 Aston Villa v WBA (league cup 5)

Any help or even a photograph would be appreciated.

99% sure the Rhyl one exists, maybe a single sheet not sure. The Coventry one there was a single sheet and i'm sure the villa one had a programme, I went to the game.

I sold up over 20 years ago now so going back from memory.

If you are on facebook join the West Bromwich Albion memorabilia group.
