One of the great characters of Cricket.

Absolutely Martino. True greatness. That ball to Gatting, first of a record 195 English wickets taken. Australia v England hasn't been the same since. A total legend of the game. And just 52.

Warnie was a great bowler and it is sad that he has passed at such an early age.

Australia lost a second player also just now, Rodney Marsh. A great keeper from the really great Australian teams of the 70s. I saw him live many a time at the SCG. Marsh and Lillee, I believe, still hold the record for the number of caught and bowled by the same pairing.
