1986 New York Express v Irish National All Stars - Any info

I’ve got a ticket stub from this game and given the date it must be related to St Patrick’s day but it seems strange for a team to travel this kind of distance mid season for a friendly. Looks like mostly Irish based players but a few were playing in England too.

Anyone got any details on the background to this game.

I had the programme and sold it a couple of years ago. I seem to remember there were players from English clubs ( Pompey rings a bell ) as well as LOI teams

The programme does appear quite a bit. I don't recall any sale prices but if I had to guess it would be about £10. I've never seen the ticket before.
