OUTDOOR MARKETS NORTH STAFFORDSHIRE

At last, the open air market, car boot, collectors forum has reopened in North Staffordshire. About 30 stalls are now open on a Thursday at Newcastle Under Lyme High Street. There are plenty of car parks close by and I have reopened my programme stall. This can be found immediately opposite the Subway outlet in the centre of the market area. Casual, passing trade is very limited but fortunately there is a hard core of collectors who attend and make it worthwhile to stand. I sell a good selection of programmes internationals, cup finals, various clubs from the 50s up to the noughties and will gladly look out any requests. So if you fancy an hour or so browsing at the many stalls that sell a variety of items then given better weather than yesterday, give it a try. Went down to the market Thursday and a good selection of programmes and tickets on offer. Lots of lower division teams too. Picked some nice Tranmere up there. Bob the stallholder always very helpful and knowledgeable on programmes. Well worth a visit!

Thank you very much for your comments. Yes it is cold outside and thankfully I have some good regulars who make it worthwhile to stand outside on a Thursday. It is the regulars who keep me going so it was good to meet a new face and be of help. I take as many items as I would take to a programme fair so it is not just a few to look at, and the market has lots of other stalls. So one more Thursday 9-3 , on the Stones ,High Street in Newcastle under Lyme. Then a break and restarting in the new year. Will bring along clubs that you ask for and any other requests that you have .Pick up 100 Stoke City, Crewe Alexandra, port Vale for £10 70s onwards tor 100 60s different teams for £30. Thank you

Visited Bob today and picked up a decent number of programmes. He has quite a range of clubs and big match programmes. Well worth a visit if you're in the area.

Thank you very much for the comments. The town was not very busy today but having people who have an interest in the hobby is so important to keeping a stall like mine going. It is enjoyable to chat with people, even through a mask, and I shall return to Newcastle under Lyme Thursday market in the new year and hopefully see a few more new faces. You can always tell me your interests and from a large stock i will see what i can pull out. Hi Bob,
Although this is a long shot I thought I would ask you if you have any Scottish programmes for sale. I am a Hearts' collector but I would be interested in any Scottish programme pre 1960.
