Hello, can anyone out there please help identify this mystery player press photo. The only info on the back is "Daily Mirror photograph".

It looks like the 1920s or 30s judging by the shorts, but the top is not one I recognise. Any help most welcome.....

Struggling...but looking at the kit could it possibly be an Aston Villa player, maybe Joe Tate? Their away kit in 1930/31 below.

Looking at the team group from that year, it does indeed look very much like Joe Tate.

I wonder if it might be from this 5-5 draw at West Ham in January 1931 as I suspect it might have been the only time that season they wore their change away kit.

I think you may be all going down the wrong road. Unless. I am much mistaken the Mystery player is none other than a young Len Goodman preparing for the day when ballroom dancing beckoned.
