I have got a job lot of Torquay United fanzines. It got me thinking about just how many issues of each there were. I have asked on FB but no response.

I was wondering if this would be useful thread to post the names of your clubs fanzines and how many issues there were of each.

It may come in handy to some collectors. I will start, but have no idea of issue numbers....

TORQUAY UNITED

Mission Impossible
Bamber's Right Foot
The Gullible Gullpost

Argyle Ones

Rub of the Greens
Way Out West
The Guzzler 12 issues ..no 12 withdrawn for legal reasons Smile
Hoof
The Evergreen
Grass is Greener

Guzzler was aimed at the Armed Forces contingent ( Plymouth is knows as GUZ in military radio slang)...apparently the first issue had a fake letter which drew several genuine replies...the alleged author was PO Hugh Janus!

There's been a number of different Boro fanzines produced but FMTTM is still going strong after 30 years. Issue 605 was produced for Sundays game.

During a recent lockdown tidy up I found a few fanzines from the early 90s and a mis-spent youth of popping to Sportspages in central London. No idea how many issues were produced though as these are early issues at a time when most fanzines were starting.

Arsenal - up the a@@e
Barnet - Two together
Billericay town - Cowshed Blues
Bradford city - the city gent
Cambridge United - the abbey rabbit
Chelsea - s.w.6
Chelsea - Chelsea independent
Gillingham - Brian moores head Looks Uncannily Like the London Planetarium
Gloucester city - tiger roar
Hendon - the sleeping giant
Leyton Orient - Leyton orientear
Luton town - town
Luton town - mad as a hatter
Man united - United we stand
Man united - Red Issue
Nottingham forest - Brian
QPR - the whinging donkey
QPR - a kick up the r's
QPR - in the loft
Southampton - Red Stripe
Sunderland - wise men say
Tottenham - F.O.G
Tottenham - my eyes have seen the glory
Tottenham - the spur
Watford - clap your hands stamp your feet
Wealdstone - the elmslie ender

A4 issues
Liverpool - through the wind and rain
Norwich - Liverpool are on the tele again
Port vale - the memoirs of Seth Bottomley
Sheffield w - just another Wednesday
Southampton - the ugly inside
Swindon town - bring the noise
Watford - blind stupid and desperate

I seem to recall there was a page in When Saturday Cones dedicated to listing all known fanzines, together with contact details of the editors

I have a Fanzine "The Best of the Football Fanzines" which lists four pages of fanzine titles plus club. Circa early 90's.

I do not intend to copy it out but I am happy to try and send a scan to anyone who is interested.

Does anyone still collect these as I have a big bundle of about 50 I have been trying to offload for ages. Lots of obscure non-league ones from the likes of Welling, Slough, Northwich Vics, Rhyl, Flint Town United etc, plus a few old favourites. Dioch pawb, Mark Thumbs Up
