Its 7 years since I began this thread and its back.

In these strange days and unprecedented times I thought I would it bring it back on the forum, as there is little else to do apart from get home, go to work, come home, walk the dog, go to bed and repeat Laughing

Post a programme cover from this day in History, don't have to explain why, unless you want to do, any era doesn't matter if it was 19th Century or last week, although they would be quite rare.

Doesn't matter if its not football, any sport will do, June and July can be quite testing.

Just stick to the date.. Apart from this opening weekend.

We'll start with yesterday April 4th, as I was going to post last night but was at a party, and today.

As before the object is to get through a whole calendar year.

April 4th, a double header from 1959, in the Natal League, South Africa

Thistle v Fynnland and Berea Park v Railway

April 5th

2003

Augsburg v Sportfruende Siegen (German Regionalliga Sud)

They've got some kind of voodoo doll thing going off there.

Laughing

The two featured voodoo figures are from the German version of Subbuteo, "Tipp Kick" The game has 2 outfield players and 2 goalkeepers. The little button on top of the players' head is pushed down to make the kick with an odd shaped ball. The goalkeeper's buttons determine whether he dives one way or the other.

My game features what looks like Wolves and Man Utd from the 50s Wave

On this day in 1947 Leeds played Manchester United at Elland Road, the yellow cover is one of two variants used for this match and throughout of the season for Leeds home games from 46/47.

This is probably the rarest Leeds home since the war, maybe the exception being a league cup replay against Rotherham.

I know it's only 30 years old but it still gets my spine tingling to look at this front cover. No further words are needed.

No No Boro hold that record and have done so since 62/3.
