Classic old school centre half....Scouser who gave Argyle great service and then went back uo to Tranmere...we got Jimmy Hinch in exchange.

Saw him many times when I first watched Argyle....

RIP Fred.

Remember watching him at Argyle and then, as pafc says above, the very lanky Jimmy Hinch - great with his head but no clue what his feet were for! Very Happy

Born in Wallasey, England in 1944. Defender Frederick George Molyneux began his career with the first of 6 clubs, Liverpool during the 1964-1965 season. Molyneux spent the longest spell of his career with Southport, spending some 5 seasons with The Sandgrounders. To date, our database contains details of 36 appearances made and 2 goals scored in a career spanning 12 seasons. Fred Molyneux has now retired from the game, having last played during the 1975-1976 campaign for Wigan Athletic. Molyneux sadly passed away on 01/10/2019, aged 75 www.thefootballarchives.com AutoBio
